We have a very early start as your guide picks you in Entebbe for the Murchison Falls birding safari. After breakfast early transfer to a great birding area, the Royal mile, for the remarkable forest birds hoping for the Big Fives of this legendary Forest, Dwarf kingfisher, Chocolate backed kingfisher, Ituri Batis, Uganda woodland warbler, Rufous-Crowned Eremomela with exciting Lbjs Chestnut- capped flycatcher, Lemon bellied Crombec, Hylia, Forest Flycatcher, Nahans partrige and the restricted White-thighed Hornbill before we cool down to try and bag the Cassin’s Spinetails and Sabine’s Spinetails are among the top birds in this habitat extension of the Guinea- Congo forest with the knowledgeable patch guides we have in this top birding forest in Uganda. After this we shall continu our Murchison Falls birding safari and leave the forest with a great knowledge and a convincing checklist in terms of forest birds. We advance into the Park through ( Kanio Pabidi tropical forest) in the afternoon a super highlight in the 2-5pm 3hours Boat ride to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks the chance to tick off the Rock pranticole is our main aim as we approach the base of the falls. In the morning we continue our Murchison Falls birding safari. On to the Game drive Nile river Bank to the broad savanna for the most likelihood seeing Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76 we continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of birds. The Great Shoe bill stork, and if between Feb and March the Elusive Egyptian plover its Spur winged geese, Denham’s bustard, among the over 450 species recorded in this area and – Visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice.
