Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe -Welcome to Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional photographic safari guide and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed afternoon around the shores of Lake Victoria, offering opportunities to photograph colorful birds, fishing boats, local fishermen, and spectacular sunsets.
During the evening, your guide will brief you on the safari, discuss photography goals, camera settings, and prepare you for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The scenic journey takes you through rolling hills, tea plantations, traditional villages, and the beautiful countryside of southwestern Uganda. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs before continuing towards Bwindi.
Arrive at your lodge overlooking the forest and spend the late afternoon photographing the breathtaking scenery, colorful birdlife, butterflies, and forest landscapes.
Golden hour photography around the lodge often produces beautiful images before sunset.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Photography Experience
Today is the highlight of your safari.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the ancient rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated mountain gorilla families.
Accompanied by experienced park rangers, you’ll trek through the forest until the gorillas are located.
Once found, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour photographing these magnificent great apes in their natural habitat.
The experience offers extraordinary opportunities to capture intimate portraits, family interactions, playful juveniles, and powerful silverbacks.
Return to the lodge for relaxation before an optional community or forest photography walk during the late afternoon.
Day 4: Transfer to Ishasha -Tree-Climbing Lions
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and travel towards the famous Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This remote wilderness is renowned worldwide for its unique population of tree-climbing lions, often photographed resting high in large fig trees.
Following lunch, enjoy an extended afternoon game drive searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, topis, and numerous bird species.
The late afternoon golden light creates exceptional opportunities for dramatic wildlife photography.
Sunset photography across the Ishasha plains offers one of Uganda’s most beautiful safari experiences.
Day 5: Sunrise Photography-Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin before sunrise with an early morning game drive when predators are most active and the soft morning light creates perfect photography conditions.
After breakfast, continue to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the afternoon, enjoy the famous Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise, one of Africa’s finest wildlife photography experiences.
Photograph enormous pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, African Fish Eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, and countless waterbirds from close range.
Conclude the day with another sunset game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, searching for elephants, lions, hyenas, leopards (if lucky), and abundant wildlife.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Return to Entebbe
Enjoy one final sunrise game drive, taking advantage of the beautiful morning light for your last wildlife photographs.
After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back to Entebbe, stopping at the Uganda Equator for refreshments and souvenir shopping.
Arrive in Entebbe in the evening for your onward international flight or an optional overnight stay.
